Father of Three
Father of three children (Pauline born in 1987, fruit of his love with producer Marie Genest, Paul-Henri born in 1990 from his relationship with Isabelle and Ninon born in 1998, his youngest daughter he had with actress Manon Saidani), the former host of Ciel mon mardi ! has often been very disappointed in love as he indicated during an interview with the journalists of TV Mag in 2011. He had even reached a point where he wondered if men were really meant to be in a couple. “It remains one of the most difficult things in the world. (…) I have sometimes been very damaged (by sentimental disappointments). That probably hardened me. At one point in my life, I always needed to be in love. But, in reality, was I not in love with the idea of being in love? In short, I work psychoanalytically on this subject,” he confided, very sincerely.
Married twice, Christophe Dechavanne married former model and columnist Stéphanie Long at the Nançay town hall in the Cher in 2004 and then Sophie Lapointe, director at BCBG in 2010. Now divorced, he nevertheless acknowledges that there is a kind of love that remains unconditional despite the years. That of his children. On the Quelle Époque set, he also returned to the different pregnancies of his companions, indicating that he had always preferred not to know the sex of the child before the birth. “I have been campaigning for this for years and I have succeeded with three people, three mothers, to keep this, this secret, and it is the most beautiful surprise in the world. (…) I got a 100%. And it is the most beautiful surprise in the world to discover the sex it is absolutely magnificent by the way for the women who watch us, I do not want to proselytize, but still it is the most beautiful surprise in the world like: ‘Wow, what is it? ‘” he remembered tenderly. A filial love that never fades.
