In an Instagram post, Eugenie shared photos of the event, saying: “Beatrice and I had so much fun at Chalfont St Giles for the Coronation Big Lunch. It was incredible to see so many people celebrating and we are so grateful to have spent some time with the children, the soft puppies and so many welcomes for the King and Queen”.

The Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle was also part of the celebrations, and saw an extensive guest list, including members of the extended family who were not invited to the Abbey ceremony in Westminster, and Peter Phillips’ fiancee, Lindsay Wallace. Princess Eugenie wrote: “The concert was a special way to end the day. It was a beautiful way to honor the King’s life of service. Of course my favorite part was seeing the big whale illuminated in the sky. #coronation”.

The Coronation Big Lunch this weekend will be an exciting occasion for Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, who are expecting their second child this summer. The couple’s son, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, was born in February 2021 and was baptized in a joint ceremony with his cousin Lucas Philip Tindall.
