The Arrival of Baby Ernest
Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank have welcomed their second baby boy, Ernest George Ronnie. The baby, as announced by the new mom on Instagram, was born on the 30th of May at 8:49 in the morning, although the news was made public a few days later.
Family Names with Deeper Meaning
The little one, just like his older brother August, who according to the princess “already loves being a big brother,” has a first name that is not related to family traditions and two others with deeper meanings. George is a family name, in honor of the baby’s great-great-great-grandfather on his father’s side, while Ronnie is a nickname for Ronald, Eugenie’s late grandfather, who passed away in 2003.
The First Photos of Ernest
Together with the good news, the first photos of Ernest have also been released, already at home with his parents and little brother, who turned two last February and is called Augie by the family. It was already known for a few days that the princess was about to give birth, and the rumors became certain when Beatrice, Eugenie’s older sister, replaced her sister at an official event in London, before leaving for the royal wedding of Al Hussein of Jordan and Rania Al Saif. Now it is official, there is another baby in the family and it brings with it an important change: Ernest is the first grandchild that Queen Elizabeth did not have the chance to meet.
