A Family Reunion
On November 13, 2018, to mark the then Prince Charles’ seventieth birthday, the royal family released a photo – taken in the gardens of Clarence House – showing the guest of honor surrounded by his closest relatives: wife Camilla, of course, then the two sons, Harry and William, respectively with their wives Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, and the grandchildren, the Cambridge babies, George, Charlotte and Louis. The atmosphere in the Windsor house was quite different from the current one.
A Sumptuous Event
But another birthday of the sovereign, who will turn 75 in four months, could mark a new – and unprecedented – family reunion. There are all possibilities that the king will opt for a celebration similar to his seventieth birthday, referring also to the sumptuous event organized at the Palace.
A Chance to Reunite
“It is likely that for such an important milestone there will be another party of that kind,” it is still read, “with all members of the royal family invited”. There are no official announcements yet, and even if the party were confirmed, it is not certain that Harry and Meghan will decide to participate, leaving from California – more precisely from their villa in Montecito – with their two children, Archie and Lilibet. Of course, Harry – despite the recent distance from Buckingham Palace – was punctual at his father’s coronation ceremony last May. And the potential November appointment could be the perfect opportunity to bring Archie and Lilibet closer to their grandfather: after all, the second daughter only saw him last year on the occasion of Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee. Who knows that for Charles the opportunity to take another photo may materialize. Like the one from 2018, but with two more grandchildren.
