The Reunion of Bennifer
It has been a year since Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck – after their secret wedding in Las Vegas – said “yes” again in the divo’s estate in Georgia: the pompous wedding in front of 250 guests – including relatives, friends and some stars – with celebrations lasting three days and costing 25 million dollars, took place on August 20, 2022. And now, to celebrate their first wedding anniversary, J.Lo has dedicated a romantic social letter to her husband.
The Sweet Social Dedication
“Dear Ben, sitting here alone, looking at my ring, I feel overwhelmed. It makes me want to sing and sing again… We ended up here, without rewinding the tape. Oh my God, this is my life…”, writes Lopez along with two photos of the “yes” in Georgia. The first image shows the couple, both dressed in white, embracing and laughing during the exchange of vows. In the second they kiss passionately under a sky illuminated by fireworks (the wedding banquet ended with an elaborate pyrotechnic show). Ben Affleck replied to his wife’s post with a very sweet comment: “One year ago… we made the best decision that could be for us… Always happy for us, J.Lo”.
The Fairy Tale Ending
The second photo posted by J.Lo to celebrate their wedding anniversary with Ben Affleck Jennifer and Ben had been one step away from getting married, after two years of engagement, also in 2003. Instead, to everyone’s surprise, in January 2004 the news of the breakup arrived. A break-up from which, according to Page Six, “Jennifer had come out devastated”. Then in 2021 the fairy tale ending: the reunion of the Bennifer, who in 2022 said “yes” twice. And now, one year after the double wedding, Lopez wanted to tell the world all her joy with a romantic social dedication to her husband. Moreover, the second in a few days. Last August 15, when he turned 51, J.Lo had wished him happy birthday by posting a video showing them traveling in the car together singing Wonderful World: “Happy Birthday, I love you!”, J.Lo had written alongside the film. Despite the gossipers who every two or three give the couple on the brink of divorce, Jennifer and Ben, one year after the (double) wedding, seem more in love than ever. And the risk of the second break (after that of 2004) prophesied by gossip appears – at least at the moment – really unlikely. Because, as Affleck wrote commenting on the social dedication with which J.Lo celebrated their anniversary, becoming husband and wife – after having lost each other for almost twenty years and then found each other – they made “the best decision that could be for us”.
