The visage that provoked a thousand “yes, chef” will soon be legally unattached: documents obtained by Page Six reveal that Addison Timlin, wife of Jeremy Allen White, the celebrity of The Bear, has filed for divorce. The two have been acquainted since their teenage years, when they first met in theatre class at the age of 14. When White was awarded the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Series Musical or Comedy in January, he sweetly thanked his wife, saying, “I love you to the depths of my bones.” Following the win, Timlin posted a black-and-white photo of her husband with his statuette on Instagram, remembering when they were both 14. “I love this photo because you look like you’re 14 and 31 at the same time,” she wrote. “Seeing you win Tuesday was one of the most overwhelming moments of my entire life, seeing you win last night while holding our two babies in your arms was truly out of this world.” Timlin and White are parents to two daughters, the first born in October 2018, and the second in December 2020. This year, Jeremy Allen White was featured on the cover of Vanity Fair’s Hollywood Issue, where he discussed his success in The Bear. Before his breakout role, he had acted in Shameless, but his portrayal of the harried chef Carmy prompted many memes and fresh admirers. He commented on the attention, “If you don’t have a base outside of your career, it can be a lonely existence.” White has not been Googling himself to see the memes, but his mother has kept him informed, “My mom tells me what people are saying on Twitter, which is nice.” Representatives for Jeremy Allen White and Timlin have yet to comment.
