Before living the perfect love with Telematin presenter Julia Vignali, Kad Merad had lived with Emmanuelle Cosso. The two former lovers were even married for twenty long years, from 1992 to 2012! Nevertheless, the actor and the writer have always been very discreet about their love story and have never taken the time to talk about it in the media.
How They Met
Therefore, we know very little about the couple they formed, except that they met in a theatre class and that they had a son, named Kalil and born in 2004… Indeed, the former lovers had on rare occasions accepted to open up, notably in 2008 where they had granted an exclusive interview to Paris Match. That day, they had spoken about their unusual meeting. “It was enough for me to see him during a rehearsal of Victor Hugo’s “Ruy Blas”, he was playing the scene where Don César empties a bag of gold coins. And I fell for him… He had such an energy, such a presence and he made me laugh so much! I must have smiled, given off some signals, but he was the one who made the first move… in writing”, Emmanuelle Cosso had then explained. Kad Merad had then revealed that he had “slipped a sweet word” into her pocket to attract her attention and convince her to spend time with him, outside of the theatre. Outside of certain official events such as the Roland-Garros Tournament or the previews of different films, they had never really shown themselves. Emmanuelle Cosso, tall, brunette and very smiling, however bears a slight resemblance to Julia Vignali, Kad Merad’s current wife. To remind, Julia Vignali and Kad Merad have been together since 2014 but only officially announced their story in February 2016. They have no children but the beautiful presenter is the mother of a young Luigi, aged 17 today and born from a previous union with a man named Julien.
