Celebrating Her Mother
This Sunday, June 4th 2023, on the occasion of Mother’s Day, Laura Smet shared a sweet memory with her mother Nathalie Baye in her Instagram Story. In the photo, the actress who was only a few years old, is posing in her mother’s arms. The internet users will notice how much the little girl looks like her mother and the late rocker. “Happy Mother’s Day”, wrote the 39-year-old actress as a caption, all accompanied by a pretty red heart.
A Passion for Cinema
Mother and daughter have always shared a passion for cinema. No wonder their complicity is so strong. The two women even had the chance to play together in Dix pour cent, Cédric Klapisch’s series, in 2015. In the columns of Madame Figaro in October 2020, Nathalie Baye declared herself to be a “loving mother” who respects her daughter’s private life, free to make her own choices. “I don’t like invading my daughter’s and her husband’s life. I find it unbearable when a mother is always there and meddling in everything. Once our child has reached adulthood and has their own life, it must be respected”, she declared.
A Life of Joy
In 2020, Laura Smet welcomed her first child, a little Léo Jean Didier, in honor of her two grandfathers. A year before taking on the greatest role of her life, the sister of David Hallyday married Raphaël Lancrey-Javal on June 15th 2019 on the Cap-Ferret peninsula, a place so dear to her heart. Of course, Nathalie Baye was at the forefront to celebrate her daughter’s union with her husband. A few years ago, Laura Smet had been admitted to Sainte-Anne Hospital in Paris, in psychiatry, at the age of 24. Now healed, the aunt of Ilona and Emma Smet can savor her regained freedom and enjoy life, with her son, her husband with whom she settled in Gironde and her mother, who is never very far from her.
