A Sad News
Sometimes there are trials that one would never want to experience… After “months of relentless struggle against the illness”, as his son Raphaël, an engaged essayist and politician, explained, Fanfan Glucksmann passed away this Thursday, August 24th. A sad news that deeply hurt her daughter-in-law, Léa Salamé, in a relationship with Raphaël Glucksmann since 2015, and who wanted to pay tribute to her on Instagram.
A Charismatic Humanist Fighter
“She was charismatic, feisty, committed and free. And so beautiful. A sensitive artist and a passionate humanist fighter. An extraordinary person”, she first wrote in the caption of a photo where we can see the one whose real name was Françoise with her son’s two boys (Alexandre, born from a previous union in 2011 and Gabriel, born in 2017). “She adored Alexandre and Gabriel, her grandsons. She taught them to get into mischief and not to listen too much to the reasonable people. She was not reasonable. I was lucky to know her, I admired her and I loved her deeply, and I am sad today. She is now going to join her beloved, the love of her life. Thank you Fanfan, thank you for everything”, the journalist concluded, touched.
Messages of Condolences
And the Internet users all wanted to support the journalist in her grief. “Good luck to you in these moments of mourning”, “Losing your mother is such a painful trial”, or even “She was lucky to have you by her side. May her soul rest in peace”, can be read among the messages of condolences. Now, the time is for mourning for the family, already very much affected by the death of the patriarch, André Glucksmann, known as “her beloved”, in 2015. But Raphaël Glucksmann, who remained “at the bedside” of his mother, left “free and sovereign until the end” cannot help but hope that his parents have reunited in peace.
