The Anticipation of Barbie’s Release
There is now less than a month until the release of Barbie, the first live-action movie adaptation of the famous fashion doll, in cinemas. As the anticipation among fans grows day by day, new photos of Margot Robbie as a doll are popping up on social media, posted by stylist Andrew Mukamal: top, short skirt and sunglasses, all strictly pink, just like the iconic convertible. The Hollywood star smiles aboard the car, parked along a boulevard in Beverly Hills between palm trees and dream villas. Alongside Margot – the movie will be released in cinemas next month – there is Ryan Gosling in the role of Ken, then stars of the caliber of America Ferrara, Emma Mackey, Helen Mirren – the narrator – and even Dua Lipa: all ready for the presentation tour that will touch some major cities.
The Presentation Tour
From Berlin to Seoul, passing through London and even Sydney, on June 30th, a mega event to which the Australian actress is said to be participating. She is also the protagonist of the new trailer, in which she pedals a bicycle with two friends, admiring the wonders of Barbieland. Even more successful was the clip showing her arched foot, the distinctive sign of the doll. “Yes, these are my feet. And it took about eight takes to shoot that scene,” said Robbie, born in 1990. “We had tape on the floor for the shoes, so I could remove them without any problems. I just held on to a bar to stay balanced, I had no harness or anything like that. I would approach, holding onto the bar above the camera, and then go back down”. Details upon details: the countdown is officially on.
