Novak Djokovic’s Performance at Roland-Garros

If some had doubts about Novak Djokovic’s form before his arrival in Paris, they can rest assured, the champion is at his level. As this edition of Roland-Garros promises to be more open than ever after the announced withdrawal of Rafael Nadal a few days before the start of the competition, the Serbian player quickly became one of the two main favourites of the Parisian fortnight. With the new tennis phenomenon, Carlos Alcaraz, whom he could meet in the semi-finals in a match that everyone is waiting for, the one nicknamed the Djoker once again offered a very reassuring performance to his fans on June 4th. Faced with the Peruvian player Juan Pablo Varillas, the husband of Jelena Djokovic made short work of his opponent, winning the match in three sets and leaving only 7 small games to his opponent. To admire the tennis player, the stands of the Philippe Chatrier central court were once again packed and the stars had come in large numbers to admire the one considered one of the three best players of all time. Among the familiar faces in the stands, there was notably Valérie Donzelli. Known as an actress and for her past relationship with Jérémie Elkaïm, the 50-year-old actress then turned to directing with success. She has just released Love and Forests with Melvil Poupaud and Virginie Efira, which was presented in official competition in the Cannes Premières category at the Cannes Festival 2023. A director apparently a fan of tennis, just like her son, Gustave (born in 2016) who was present with her in the stands of Roland-Garros.
