Rafa Nadal’s Injury Impact

Rafa Nadal announced last May in a press conference that he had no intention of continuing to play in the following months, as it was a decision his body had taken due to the injury he suffered in January during the Australian Open. His colleague Feliciano López has recently revealed how he is feeling in these moments.

Feliciano López’s Insight

On the occasion of the padel tournament against breast cancer, the sportsman has spoken with the media and has revealed that he is going through a difficult time: “He is a bit sad, because he would like to be playing tennis in Roland Garros in Paris, but he had already assumed that the injury he had in Australia would keep him away from Roland Garros, which was his main goal“. He continued explaining, showing optimism: “Once that was decided, now he just has to recover soon. And I have a lot of faith that next year he will be able to play again and that is really the most important thing”. Feliciano López also commented that the recovery will be long “because it is not a complicated operation, but there have been several things that have had to be done and I am sure he will recover soon”.

Feliciano López’s Personal Life

In April, the tennis player already talked about Rafa and admitted that the situation worried him more on a personal level. “I worry more as a friend. At a tennis level, obviously I worry that he can come back and be prepared for Roland Garros, which is the main goal”, he admitted, before we knew that it would not be possible to see the Manacor in this tournament. On the other hand, talking about his personal life, Feliciano López has confessed that he is living an ideal moment. Married to Sandra Gago since 2019, they are part of one of the most consolidated relationships in the social panorama and welcomed their first child together, Darío, in 2021.
