A Romantic Proposal at the Arena di Verona
Everything is romantic and even more. A year after the romantic proposal at the Arena di Verona, the two first dancers of La Scala, Nicoletta Manni and Timofej Andrijashenko, got married in Puglia, the bride’s homeland. The world of Italian and international dance was present, including Roberto Bolle as witness for the couple’s friends, and the Ballet Company of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Thursday was the ceremony in Galatina, in the province of Lecce. Before the official images were released, many photos and videos taken by the guests circulated. Nicoletta Manni arrived at the altar accompanied by her father and the notes of Chopin, wearing a white dress, a mermaid model with thin straps crossed on the back, and her hair tied in a chignon as every ballerina should. Armani was the designer of both her and the groom’s outfits, the latter in a blue tuxedo. Before the bride, a group of young ballerinas, in tutus, students of her mother, a dance teacher.
The First Dance as Husband and Wife
The first dance as husband and wife was a tango during the reception held in the sixteenth-century Masseria San Lorenzo. After dinner and the Russian ritual of bread and salt, they changed their outfits and began their performance. The audience was made up of the guests, but there were many more on Saturday, August 12th, when the two first dancers of La Scala were the special guests of the Negramaro mega show, for the band’s twenty years of career.
