Rumours are circulating that Taylor Swift may have found a new love. Not long after her breakup with Joe Alwyn, the singer was seen out with Matty Healy, lead singer of the band The 1975. This romantic outing in New York City was with a group of friends, including producer and musician Jack Antonoff and his girlfriend Margaret Qualley, daughter of Andie McDowell. According to TMZ, Swift and Healy had drinks at the Casa Cipriani lounge and then proceeded to dinner, hand in hand.
This is not the first time the two singers have been linked. Back in 2014, Taylor Swift attended several of Healy’s concerts and they both wore each other’s t-shirts and other merchandise, although they never confirmed the rumours of a romance. After that, they went their separate ways.
Taylor Swift has had relationships with Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston before her six-year relationship with Joe Alwyn. In early May, the speculation around her and Healy began, as he attended three of her concerts, much to the delight of her fans.
According to an insider, the two are giving their relationship another try. They have a lot of mutual friends and are having a great time together. Taylor Swift is reportedly “very happy” to be spending time with Healy, but she is not sure if she wants to commit after her split with Alwyn.
It is too soon to tell if Taylor Swift and Matty Healy are in a serious relationship, but her fans are already hoping for a happy ending.
