William Middleton: Did Kate Have Another Love in Crisis?

William Middleton and Kate, who have been married for eleven years and are the parents of three children (George, Charlotte, and Louis), are now one of the most admired royal couples in the world. In 2007, however, their love story, which began at St. Andrew University, experienced a setback. Kate wanted an engagement ring, while William, shocked by the failed marriage of his parents Charles and Diana, had no intention of getting married. He preferred to have fun with his comrades from the Sandhurst military academy. William left Middleton in 2007 and Kate reacted by going on trips and going out to nightclubs with her sister Pippa. The British press reported that Kate had replaced William with Henry Ropner, an old schoolmate from Eton. The two were photographed together only once, but it was enough to create speculation about the future Princess of Wales. Henry had a past relationship with William: Jecca Craig, daughter of an English environmentalist. Jecca was William’s first girlfriend after ending his relationship with Henry. Given the history between them, the relationship with Henry seemed to the British tabloids to be a brilliant revenge strategy put in place by Middleton. After about ten weeks, William returned to Kate’s side. The rest is history. William Middleton and Kate were married in Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011. A few months later, Henry married his girlfriend Natasha Sinclair. Neither of them invited the other to their respective weddings, which seemed to royal observers to be an indication of the complicated (and brief) relationship between them that has been talked about for years.
