William Reconciliation: Chance to Reunite With Harry

Prince William’s 41st Birthday

A phone call, even a card. Maybe even a small present. They are confident, at Buckingham Palace, that Prince Harry can get closer to his brother William on his birthday. Prince of Wales is in fact turning 41 today, June 21st, on the first day of summer, and a well-informed source such as Grant Harrold, who was King Charles’s personal butler for seven years between 2004 and 2011, is convinced of a possible rapprochement of the two brothers for this occasion. Telling how royal birthdays are usually celebrated in a very private form, Harrold explained that, on the contrary, he would consider a total silence of Harry on the occasion of his brother’s birthday rather unusual. “I truly believe he will contact him for his birthday,” said the former butler. “Probably there will also be a birthday card. If there will be a gift, that’s hard to say”.

Family Formalities

In short, as is typical of the most talked-about Royal Family, the formalities are kept at all costs, but it is not said that a phone call or a birthday card mean peace is made. Quite the opposite. As seen at the coronation of Dad Charles, the distance between the two children of Princess Diana has never been so great, and it is difficult that a birthday is enough to bridge it. But the optimists at the Palace continue to hope that the fairy tale can end with an unlikely “and they lived happily ever after”. Prince William, according to this line of thought, will spend his forty-first birthday with his wife and three children, but could be positively surprised by his brother’s greetings. “You know how it works in the family,” continued Grant Harrold. “You argue all the time, and then you fix things again. I like to think that for Kate’s birthday, Harry and Meghan will send flowers, and vice versa. As far as we know, they could talk to each other and fix things. So I like to think they remember each other’s birthdays”.

The Possibility of Rapprochement

It is possible that Prince Harry and William can reconcile on the occasion of the latter’s birthday. A well-informed source such as Grant Harrold, who was King Charles’s personal butler for seven years between 2004 and 2011, is convinced of a possible rapprochement of the two brothers for this occasion.
