Celebrities Unite for a Good Cause
When it comes to giving their time for a good cause, celebrities are usually on board, especially when there’s a football match involved. This Tuesday, June 6th, Unicef organized a great event at the Bollaert-Delelis Stadium in Lens (Pas-de-Calais). A match between the legends of RC Lens, the local club, and the Unicef team for the “Heroes Match”. A match for a good cause in which a plethora of celebrities, mostly from the world of sports, but not only, participated.
Notable Female Presence
Among the headliners of this match, which was played in front of nearly 22,000 spectators, Élodie Gossuin was present. The former Miss France 2001, who has since become a television and radio presenter, had made the trip to the Hauts-de-France to participate in this match. She wasn’t the only female presence of the evening. Laure Boulleau, a former great football player, also participated in this great match whose goal was to raise funds for Unicef and the Racing Coeur de Lens Foundation. Now a consultant on Canal +, the 36-year-old great athlete also took the opportunity to live a very funny sequence. Not necessarily known for her fighting skills, Laure Boulleau took on the famous Ciryl Gane, who is none other than a MMA champion (mixed martial arts). In a humorous sequence, which she posted on her social networks, the champion got the better of her opponent of the day. “My first MMA fight against Ciryl Gane,” she wrote in the caption of her video.
Sports Legends and Other Celebrities
Other athletes were also present, such as Camille Lacourt and Benoît Paire. Originally from the region and trained in Lens, Raphäel Varane did the honor of being present at his former club and was even accompanied by his son, Ruben (all the photos can be found in the slideshow). Bigflo and Oli, Wilfrid Mbappé and Paul Mirabel complete this star-studded event, which raised a total of 132,576 €.
