Rumors of George Clooney Leaving Lake Como

It certainly seems so, at least according to PageSix. A source close to the star reportedly told the New York Post’s gossip page that the actor has put his now famous Villa Oleandra on the real estate market for $107 million, or around €100 million. In fact, it is not the first time that rumors and gossip have circulated about the possible sale of the villa, which in Laglio has become a meeting point for many stars and celebrities.

Previous Rumors of a Sale

Already in 2010 it was rumored about a possible sale of the house due to the excessive attention of the paparazzi towards George Clooney when he was in Italy. Then, however, nothing. As in 2015: even then it was rumored of a possible exchange of keys, which never actually took place. “George loves the area and the people who live there, but he is aware of the attention he receives when he is in town. He has received a huge offer for the villa, which he is considering, and he would buy another less accessible property in another area of Italy,” a source once told PageSix.

Possible Move to Provence

It is also said that the actor has also purchased a villa in Provence in 2021 and that his wife Amal prefers to stay there. The negotiations, of course, are top secret. Only one thing is certain. Clooney bought Villa Oleandra from the Heinz family in 2002, paying $10 million for it. If he were to succeed in selling it at the requested price, it would be the real estate deal of the century.
