On the other hand, his brother-in-law Benjamin Castaldi is not really known for his knowledge of sports. Yet, at the beginning, the 33-year-old blond was more oriented towards cinema and theater after taking classes for several years, but eventually his passion for sports journalism was the strongest. Quickly, he joined the editorial staff of Eurosport channel, then CNews before arriving at the L’Équipe channel in 2019. Since then, he has been one of the well-known figures of viewers who find him almost every day on the air, whether on the set or on the field. It was within the first media dedicated to French sports that he met the one who shares his life, Carine Galli. The two lovebirds have been living together for several years and things seem to be going great.
An Astronomical Salary?
Active on social media, Giovanni Castaldi likes to share moments of life with his followers and this Wednesday, September 13, an information obviously surprised him. In his story (which can be found on his social media page), the sports journalist took up an information circulating when his name is searched. We can read that his annual salary would be 5 million euros net of taxes. An astronomical sum and worthy of a football player, but as Carine Galli’s companion explains, we seem to be far from the real amount. “There’s a problem with my pay slips then!“, he joked in the caption of his photo. After checking, this information comes from a tweet made by Giovanni Castaldi himself concerning the footballer Rafael Leao and his contract extension with Milan AC this summer.
