Linda Evangelista Fights Breast Cancer
One of the most famous models of the 90s, Linda Evangelista, has revealed the delicate health problems she has had to face in a short period of time. The Canadian has explained that in 2018 and 2022 she had to undergo two operations for breast cancer. “I’m happy to be alive. Anything that comes now is a bonus,” she said.
Diagnosed After Annual Mammogram
According to her confession, she did not want to explain it until now because she did not want to expose herself to public opinion. “It was detected after my annual mammogram. The results were not good and, for other health factors, I opted for a bilateral mastectomy. Thinking that I was going to be fine for life. That breast cancer was not going to kill me,” she told The Wall Street Journal.
Celebrating Life After Recovery
Four years after that, another lump was felt in the chest; the disease had returned. After beating it again, the top is clear: “I know I have one foot in the grave, but I’m totally in celebration mode”.
