A Night Out for the Royals

Their new Netflix docuserie, Heart of Invictus, may struggle to capture the public’s attention, but according to some fan-snapped photos on Friday night, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still living their dream. The royal couple took a break from building their own media empire and attended Beyoncé’s SoFi Stadium in Inglewood for a stop on her Renaissance tour. On X, the “new” Twitter, there were plenty of photos of the couple, who watched the show from a stage atop the stadium.

The Dress Code of the Evening

Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, and her close friend, actress Abigail Spencer, were with Harry & Meghan, which takes away some of the romance of the evening: I don’t usually bring my mom on dates, do you? Fans of Beyoncé know that she asked everyone to dress in silver for her current concert series in honor of her zodiac sign. “Each night, we will surround ourselves with a human glitter ball,” the singer wrote last week in an Instagram story that was widely rebounded. “Everyone reflects the joy of the other. The Virgo season in the House of Chrome.” But while Mom Doria and Meghan wore sparkly outfits to meet the pop star’s request, Harry was the least shiny even compared to, say, Mark Zuckerberg’s dazzling look at Taylor Swift’s recent concert. Harry wore a silver jacket over a gray sweater. Some images posted on X also show Harry in a rather stiff pose, with his hands in his pockets and his eyes often on the phone.

Prince Harry’s Upcoming Trip

As if to take away from Doria being the star of the evening – according to the Independent, the outing was to celebrate her 67th birthday – or maybe Harry was just showing some pre-travel jitters, as he is expected to go to London in the coming days to attend a charity event scheduled just one day before the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death. Even if he is in London on that sad day of commemoration, Harry does not seem to have planned a meeting with his father, King Charles III, or his brother, Prince William. According to the Daily Mail, citing an anonymous “insider,” Harry has “no intention” of seeing the family during his stop in England. After the London stop, Harry will continue on to the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, where Meghan will join him.
