Charlene & Alberto: A Ceremonial Couple?
Charlene of Monaco and Alberto II’s marital life has been continuously targeted by gossip, voices which have led the princes to even public denials in the last few months, which is not a common practice when it comes to royal families. The latest gossip comes from the weekly magazine Voici, which insists on the princess’ life in Switzerland, away from the Principality’s atmosphere. According to the magazine, the former swimmer would only see her husband “by appointment” and only for official reasons.
A Holiday Together, But Separate Homes
This version is in contrast with the last holidays Charlene spent on a yacht with Alberto and their twin children, Jacques and Gabriella, 8 years old. After the shared weeks, however, everyone would have gone back to their own homes, she in Switzerland and he in Monte Carlo with the children.
A “Blackmail” Situation?
A source close to the princess told the magazine that they are a “ceremonial couple”, adding that the princess has guaranteed her husband to return to the Rocca for every public representation event, in exchange for the possibility to see the children more often. If confirmed, this situation would sound like a blackmail. The two are now mainly focused on being good parents for their children, taking turns to care for them, as another source told the German daily Bild.
