The Trial of Rocío Carrasco

After her first absence, the trial that Rocío Carrasco had to face was finally held, as she had been sued by her son, David, for non-payment of the pension. The sentence was issued on July 31 and was exclusively revealed by ‘Caso Abierto’, which revealed that Rociíto had been sentenced to compensate her son with 13,200 euros plus interest for the five and a half years in which she had not paid the pension and also to pay a six-month fine with a fee of 5 euros daily, that is, 900 euros in total. Finally, the penalty imposed was the lowest for the offense and, in the case of the fine, it was far from the 10,800 euros requested by the Prosecutor.

Rocío’s Statements

During her statement, the firstborn of Rocío Jurado assured that she had tried to pay her 24-year-old son, but it was impossible for her since all her assets had been seized by the Tax Agency. Her statements did not convince the judge of Court number 23 of the Penal Court of Madrid. Although Rociíto had asked that the trial be open to the press, the judge did not agree, arguing that the young David was a “vulnerable” person and it was more advisable that it take place behind closed doors to protect his privacy.
