Welcome to the Summer Period

Summer is a blessed and much-awaited period for many. France’s first lady, Brigitte Macron, is extremely eager to enjoy the beautiful days of July and August, as they are finally an opportunity to reunite the family. Very involved at the Elysée, as in life and the work of certain causes such as cyberbullying and school bullying, the wife of the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, sometimes feels the lack and nostalgia of her own.

Reuniting the Family

Gathering her children and grandchildren is a real puzzle. Sébastien, Laurence and Tiphaine, as well as their spouses and families, all have different schedules. And during the school year, it’s even worse! The zoning of school holidays “complicates physical reunions” with all seven grandchildren, according to the magazine Gala. Fortunately, Camille, Paul, Emma, Alice, Thomas, Elise and Aurèle are all set to spend delightful moments with their grandmother, in exactly six weeks. It is at the Fort of Brégançon that they will all meet again, for three weeks. The presidential fortress, located in Bormes-les-Mimosas in the Var, is simply easier to secure than another dwelling.

Making the Most of Summer

In the presence of her grandchildren, the first lady takes the opportunity to catch up, especially in terms of music, in order to keep in mind some ideas for the Yellow Pieces Gala. More than ever, she feels the need to hug her loved ones. Her nephew, Jean-Baptiste Trogneux, was assaulted on the sidelines of a demonstration against the pension reform, in Amiens, on May 15th, 2023. Two individuals were sentenced to 12 and 15 months in prison, on June 5th. Find all the information about Brigitte Macron in issue 1566 of June 15th, 2023.
