Paul Walker, remembered 10 years after his passing

It was November 30th, 2013 when Paul Walker, the star of Fast and Furious, lost his life at the young age of 40 in a car accident. Since then, his family has never stopped remembering him, even on social media. And now his brother Cody, who has just become a father for the third time, has wanted to pay a special tribute to him: he has called the third-born Paul. “This November will mark 10 years since the loss of my brother Paul and I thought it was the right time,” the forty-four-year-old actor told People. The baby, the fruit of Cody and his wife Felicia Knox’s love, was born in Arizona last April 30th. The couple, as had already happened with their first two children, wanted to know the sex of the baby only after birth. And when they discovered it was a boy, Cody had no doubts: he would call him like the brother who disappeared ten years ago. “For me it was important that that name continued to exist”.

Cody Walker continues Paul’s legacy

But this is certainly not the only way Cody keeps the memory of Paul alive. The actor in fact donates part of the proceeds of his FuelFest, the Automobile Festival that travels around the world, to Reach Out WorldWide, the non-profit organization that Paul Walker founded in 2010 after an earthquake devastated Haiti: “That is a part of him that he left us, it is important that part of his legacy continues to live,” the forty-four-year-old told People. “Since Paul’s disappearance, ROWW has continued to assist communities in disaster-stricken areas in 13 countries, with over 79 interventions and more than 63,000 hours of volunteer work. Over 10 million dollars in contributions to those in need thanks to the generosity of incredible donors who contribute to carry out his mission”.

Meadow Walker carrying on her father’s legacy

Paul’s daughter, the twenty-three-year-old model Meadow, is also carrying on her father’s legacy. Drawing inspiration from her father who always worked “to help others, to save animals, to protect the environment”, in 2015 she set up a foundation in his memory, the Paul Walker Foundation. Which, for example, during the Covid emergency, supported the food aid of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Meadow has also often shared social memories of her father in recent years. For example a video in which, as a teenager, she surprised the actor by suddenly entering his room to shout “happy birthday” to him. And he, recovering from the shock, hugged her tenderly. Ten years have passed since a car accident took away Paul Walker. But the actor who loved to run, in the thoughts of those who loved him, is more alive than ever.
