Analysis of the Harry and Meghan Relationship
Harry and Meghan Markle, always them, one way or another at the center of the scene. And after the almost car accident in New York, almost a catastrophe for those directly involved, completely different for the Police and witnesses, the British press piles on and starts to whisper of an imminent divorce between the two. Harry and Meghan, on the brink of divorce according to some, closer than ever according to others. What sparked the latest gossip was the former butler of Lady Diana, Paul Burrell, who declared to CB News: “Am I the only person in the UK who is thinking that Harry has finally woken up? He has seen the truth about what his wife is doing and that he has been brainwashed and hypnotized by her beauty or something like that? Because we all know it but it seems that he doesn’t understand it”.
Speculations about a Possible Divorce
According to the man, Harry would stay with his wife only because of their two children, Archie, 4, and Lilibet, 2 on June 4th. It is obviously a personal opinion: it is not known if Burrell and Harry have or have had any relationship after the death of Princess Diana; certainly he has built a small empire on his former job, between books, interviews and TV appearances. From time to time he attracts attention to himself with some secrets to reveal and what the princess would have wanted. It must be said, however, that he is not the only one to speculate a separation between the Sussexes. According to the Sky News columnist Louise Roberts, already five months ago Harry consulted divorce lawyers, while for the author Angela Levin the prince would like to buy a property in the UK, which could act as a support for any future trips, even back. The crux of the matter would be a divergence of interests within the couple. Meghan, archived the London parenthesis, has returned perfectly to her previous roles, but with a considerable upgrade, and today she does not think of going back to acting: she aims much higher, perhaps even at politics. In America, Harry is nobody or, at least, not what he has been all his life: his titles are worth nothing, nor his military backgrounds.
The Strength of the Sussexes
Not everyone agrees, however. According to Petronella Wyatt of the Telegraph, marriage is the true strength of the Sussexes, and that is why they will not divorce. Alone, according to her, they would not be as interesting, enough to compare them to Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire; someone said of them: “He gives her class and she gives him sex appeal”. Together “They are a phenomenon”, writes Wyatt, “Inevitably visible but increasingly difficult to explain”. And, more than anything else, they resist. “They have faced every conceivable form of attack and despite this they have barely moved an inch”. A matter of opportunity, which no, has nothing to do with love, but which is still able to keep people together, always.
