On his Twitter account, followed by more than 12.5 million subscribers, Kylian Mbappé has just posted a message about this tragedy: “I hurt for my France. An unacceptable situation. All my thoughts go to the family and friends of Naël, this little angel gone too soon”, he writes, obviously very saddened and angry following the death of the young boy of only 17 years old. As with almost all of the Paris Saint-Germain attacker’s speeches, the reactions are very numerous and less than an hour after his tweet, there were already more than 50,000 likes and 2,500 messages, most of which thanked him for speaking out.

Kylian Mbappé is not the only French celebrity to have spoken out following the death of young Naël, since his France team-mate Jules Koundé also spoke out, with committed words. “As if this new police blunder wasn’t enough, the news channels are making a meal of it. Platforms disconnected from reality, ‘journalists’ who ask ‘questions’ for the sole purpose of distorting the truth, criminalizing the victim and finding extenuating circumstances where there are none”, he launches. Omar Sy also wanted to pay tribute to Naël on Twitter: “My thoughts and prayers go to the family and friends of Naël, who died at 17 this morning, killed by a policeman in Nanterre. May justice worthy of the name honor the memory of this child.”
