The Disappearance of Luis Sal

A new (very hard) chapter has been added to the saga about the “disappearance” of Luis Sal from the podcast he had hosted with Fedez until last March. After two months of silence, Luis has decided to speak out. With a video posted on the podcast’s YouTube channel, in which he does not make any concessions to his former colleague.

The Feeling of Marginalization

In the video, the 25-year-old YouTuber explains that, over time, the rapper had started to turn the show into one that centered on his own character rather than the topics to be discussed in the episode. But “I noticed this as a friend many times, in many ways,” Luis says today. “The commentators noticed it too, saying he always interrupted. (…) I felt marginalized, I no longer felt part of the project either in the creative or in the executive part, since he acted without involving me and then apologized and then did it again”.

The Fight for Ownership

From there, explains Luis, came his decision to say enough. At that point there would have been a fight between the two: “You can’t take away my podcast, ungrateful, come and take your things when I’m not there and don’t show up at the podcast anymore”. So “I found myself defending myself from the other’s lawyer, which is still going on today”. In the following weeks, the other would have proposed to acquire his 50% of the podcast, inviting him to apologize, during the new episode, for his absence that had caused a storm, unleashing a sea of speculation on social media. “Come and do an episode where you apologize for your absence with an agreed-upon text. I’ll pay you (with the obligation of confidentiality) and I’ll buy your 50%” the other would have said. When Luis refused, he would have added: “Pay me for the damage caused by your absence”.
