Mathilde Pinault paid tribute to her father, billionaire businessman and Kering Group CEO François-Henri Pinault, on his 61st birthday this Sunday, May 28. The 22-year-old posted two photos of them on her Instagram account to celebrate the special occasion.
A Close Relationship
The first photo showed the adorable pair in swimwear, embracing on a boat, seemingly taken last summer. The second, more formal, showed them posing on a red carpet. Smiling, they appear to be very close, which Mathilde confirmed with a heart emoji. This sweet gesture from the daughter of the famous businessman is a testament to their close relationship, along with Mathilde’s three siblings: François, 25, from his first marriage to Dorothée Lepère; Augustin, 17, with model Linda Evangelista; and Valentina, 15, who recently made headlines when she appeared stunning on the Oscars red carpet and at Fashion Week. While Valentina’s Instagram is currently private, it was Mathilde’s mother, Salma Hayek, who expressed her love for her husband on his birthday.
A Lasting Love
“Happy birthday mi amor, you are my ray of sunshine, my warmth, my light, my strength, my joy, my love,” she wrote, alongside a photo of them. This is proof that their love is still strong after all these years. Recently, they were seen together on the Cannes red carpet, where Hayek wore a daringly low-cut dress. She revealed that her husband shares her feminist values and a passion for art. “I chose to spend the rest of my life with François because I knew he, like me, wanted to evolve. We move forward together. He introduced me to a plethora of visual artists. But he never speaks to me like a professor listing names: everything comes from the organic, the sensitive, the emotional,” she told Madame Figaro. A beautiful love story!
